Bio
Shrujana Niranjani Shridhar is an independent illustrator/visual storyteller based in Mumbai. She graduated from Srishti School of Art, Design & Technology, Bangalore in 2014.
She has written and illustrated two children's books. Aamu's Kawandi, a children's book on a little Siddi girl published by Katha Books, New Delhi. Aamu's Kawandi was nominated for The Hindu Young World – Goodbooks Awards in 2016.
She works primarily with digital illustrations, collages and water colours. Her work draws on socio-political themes, especially at the intersection of gender, caste, and class. She seeks inspiration from India's rich and diverse progressive movements. One of her abiding interests is bringing these issues to children, through picture books.
She currently works as Visual Designer for Haikujam, Mumbai
